Slow Cooker Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Serves: 4-6 servings
Ingredients
6-8 Italian Chicken Sausage Links
1 medium sized onion, sliced
2 red bell peppers, sliced
2 green bell peppers, sliced
1- 14.5 ounce can diced tomatoes
6 cloves of garlic, peeled and smashed
1 bay leaf
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
½ cup chicken broth
Grated Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions
Add sausages to slow cooker. Top with remaining ingredients. Stir to combine.
Cover, and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Serve immediately [delicious as is or on top of pasta, crusty bread, or rice]. Top with Parmesan cheese.
